Shane and Cheryl stood at the counter waiting for the store clerk to return from helping another customer. Cheryl could see the car from inside the store. The sky was overcast the sun hadn’t appeared in the sky today. The clouds were low and gathering as if a storm was brewing. The clerk appeared from the storeroom.
