The water was cool.

The sun was hot. it was a beautiful summer's day.

Jamie and Lucy are two new lovers at the beach. The beach was empty and they were in their world.

Lucy ran ashore to grab her sunhat.

She picked out the perfect color combination for the day. She had a baby blue swimsuit and a baby blue wide-brimmed sunhat with a purple flower. “Jamie! do you want a beer or something from the cooler?” Lucy squinted and covered her face with her hand, she scanned the water and couldn’t see him.

“Darn, where did he go?” Lucy muttered to herself” as she turned to dig through the cooler and grabbed herself Mike’s hard lemonade. She dusted off her towel and sat down.

“ah!” Jamie yelled from the water as the waves flung him about. Lucy jumped up from her towel and was about to scream for help when she saw Jamie emerge and he was limping “Jamie!!?” Lucy was puzzled, “Hey babe, woo! I’m alright I got a charley horse! Did you see those waves woah!" Jamie exclaimed. “Jamie I was worried I thought a shark or jellyfish got you!” Lucy yelled and threw sand at Jamie “Hey come here you “Jamie chased after her, and the two chased each other on the beach.

They finally decided to relax and headed back to their towels and cooler.

“Jamie, can you put sun lotion on me?” Lucy smiled, “of course ma’am my pleasure” Jamie smirked. Jamie began to squeeze the lotion onto his hands and started to rub it on Lucy's back.

“OUCH!, something bit me!” Lucy exclaimed, Jamie jumped up in defense and saw the scorpion scamper away. His eyes widened with fear “Luce, it-it was a scorpion?!” Jamie muttered in disbelief. “What!? Oh my gosh ouch!” blood and green puss began to ooze from the wound. Jamie started to panic, he began to frantically look in their belongings for something and anything that could help. “J-j-Amie” before he could respond Lucy had collapsed. she turned purple, began to sweat profusely, and started to convulse. “Luce don’t worry babe I got you!” Jamie declared as she started to foam at the mouth.

Jamie was frightened and didn’t know what to do, he wrapped Lucy in the towel and carried her toward their car. Before he could reach the car her body went limp. “Lucky!” Jamie screamed as tears rolled down his face.

Shane and Cheryl stood at the counter waiting for the store clerk to return from helping another customer. Cheryl could see the car from inside the store. The sky was overcast the sun hadn’t appeared in the sky today. The clouds were low and gathering as if a storm was brewing. The clerk appeared from the storeroom.
